International students of Nanjing University vaccinated against COVID-19

Recently, the first international students who are studying at Ningbo University have been vaccinated at the local community service health center. They come from up to 36 countries including Germany, Belgium, USA, UK, Korea, Japan, Poland, Russia and India .

Just like any other Chinese, Foreigners residing in China, who have participated in its social insurance scheme now can access the vaccines and get inoculated for free. Foreigners who have yet participated in the insurance scheme will have to pay for the vaccine themselves. (US$31 per dose and 2 doses required for a complete series)

Foreigners residing in China can now register for vaccination against COVID-19 in most major cities in China. In fact, China launched a full-scale program to administer China-made vaccines to foreigners in Shanghai and Beijing at the end of March. Other cities followed suit in April, including Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hangzhou and Chongqing, all of which have large expat communities. As of today, more than 500 million doses of the vaccine have been administered in China.
